Upload and manage Media Items
The following article outlines how to upload, download and delete a Media Item within the Media Library.
Upload images and videos
To upload an image or video to the Media Library, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Media page located in the sidebar menu.
- From here, you can:
- Drag and drop your Media Items onto the Upload field.
- Click on the Upload field and select your Media Items from the computer's file browser.
- Your Media Items will automatically start uploading to the Media Library.
- Once the upload is complete, the Media Items will become available within your Media Library.


When a Media Item is uploaded, a status indicator will display next to each file uploaded and show the status of the file upload.
An upload in progress can be stopped by clicking on the Cancel icon.
If an error occurs, click on the Retry icon that appears. If the error persists and your content won't upload, email support@eyemagnet.com.
Other media types
The Eyemagnet CMS can also configure a website and message Media Items as well.

Download a Media Item
To download a Media Item, follow these steps:
- Click on a Media Item in the Media Library to open the Settings panel.
- Scroll down to the File Information panel.
- Click the Download button.
- Your Media Item will download to the computer's file browser.

Delete a Media Item
To delete a Media Item, follow these steps:
- Click on a Media Item in the Media Library to open the Settings panel.
- Click the Delete button at the bottom left-hand side of the Settings panel.
- A confirmation modal will pop up.
- To confirm the deletion, click the Delete button.
- To cancel, click the Cancel button.
- The Media Item will be removed from the Media Library.

If a Media Item is currently within a playlist, an error message will be displayed and will not be removed from the Media Library. The error message will display a link to the playlist with the Media Item.
